The Sector is a desktop application for Australia's early childhood education and care sector. It collects providers, matches them against the ACECQA registers, researches each one on the open web, and assembles a single verified snapshot — with the evidence attached to every figure it reports.

The Windows build ships first. The macOS bundle follows on the same release pipeline.

Current status The application runs today and is in active use on Windows: the five data phases are built, and a full 64-provider research run has been completed end to end. What is missing is packaging — installers, code signing and over-the-air updates. Until those land there is nothing here to download, and this page says so rather than linking you to a file that does not exist.

Phases 01–05 produce the snapshot table and are built. Phases 06–08 turn that table into the finished report and are designed but not yet implemented — the application's own rail shows them dimmed, for the same reason this page does.

How acceptance works An answer is accepted without asking you only when all three research passes agree on it and at least two independent domains support it. Anything short of that becomes a question on the approval screen, with its candidate answers and their sources. Uncertainty is shown, not resolved quietly. The documentation sets out the full rule.
